Wine, Art, and Architecture: Visiting Cantina Antinori in Tuscany

What happens when 600 years of winemaking legacy meets contemporary design and Tuscan soul? You get Cantina Antinori nel Chianti Classico — a winery like no other.

Built into the rolling hills of Bargino (just 30 minutes south of Florence), this spectacular estate opened its doors in 2012, but the story of Antinori dates all the way back to 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Guild of Winemakers.

That’s over 26 generations of passion, innovation, and commitment to excellence!

Today, the Antinori family produces some of Italy’s most iconic wines, including:

  • Tignanello – one of the first Super Tuscans, aged in barriques and a true pioneer.

  • Solaia – a bold and elegant blend often listed among the world’s finest reds.

  • Villa Antinori – a timeless Chianti Classico that reflects Tuscan character and finesse.

In this video, I take you through the cantina’s stunning architecture — fully integrated into the Tuscan landscape — as well as its restaurant, wine store, and panoramic terrace. Whether you’re into wine, culture, or breathtaking design, this visit will inspire your senses.

From the spiral staircase carved into the earth to the sun-drenched tasting room, Cantina Antinori nel Chianti Classico is a tribute to both past and future. It’s not just about tasting wine — it’s about experiencing a legacy.

I hope this visit made you dream of Tuscany (or want to pour yourself a glass of Tignanello!).
